Our Studio
Our studio is located in Petaling Utama, Off Jalan Klang Lama. We've got plenty of space to move around. For photographers, our studio is long enough that you can use a 50mm lens on a DSLR and still get a full-body shot.
Multipurpose space
The studio is flexible to accomodate portraitures and product photography. The whole studio floor area is 1,700 square feet, with the shooting area of 1,000 square feet. Occasionally, we conduct workshops and seminars in this area.
White is in.
Our studio is an all-white studio. The reason is simple. White surfaces reflect light very well, and contributes consistent colour to your shots because there is no colour cast from the environment. We like to keep our studio bright. There's enough neutral light boucing off the walls to illuminate the studio area. It is also environmental friendly because we don't have to switch on any extra artificial lights apart from the studio lights during the daytime. We save energy, hence keep our studio rates low for you to enjoy!
We respect your privacy
We understand that our clients have their own specific needs. The studio area is separate from our operations area. When the studio is in session, only the people involved in the shoot have access to the studio. So, when you're shooting in FOTOMOMO STUDIO, we guarantee your privacy.
Is your studio available for rent?
Yes, apart from our own internal use, we do rent our our studio for other photographers or clients to use. Please do contact Razali@Bob Hassan, our Studio Manager to arrange a studio booking.
How much is the studio rental rate?
Our studio rental rate for photographers are as follows:
- 1-hour block..............RM 50.00
- 3-hour block..............RM 130.00
- 4-hour block..............RM 180.00
- 8-hour block..............RM 360.00
Why is your rental rate so cheap?
Our studio rental is competitive because:
- We have a low overhead.
- We own four(4) decent studio lights alltogether which are two(2) 350ws and two(2) 600ws studio lights both equipped with 80x80cm softbox, a barndoor, grid spots ,colour gels, instead of the top of the line, expensive Profoto, Elinchrom, Broncolor or Hensel. Therefore, it's unfair for us to charge you a high fee for our equipment. Perhaps later, when we upgrade our studio lights, only then we'll increase our rates...(or maybe not?)
- We have one(1) white backdrop only. If you're a creative photographer, you'll know what to do with a white backdrop and turn it into something else. :)
